I have really bad oily skin and make up just does not seem to sit right on my face. can anyone recommend a good foundation that will last and a good powder? Please help with my dilemma.
I have oily/acne prone skin so I know how you feel! Currently I'm using Revlon Colorstay foundation for oily/combo skin and setting it with MAC Prep+Prime. It has been working, but I want to try Estee Lauder double wear foundation next because I've heard it works wonders for oily skin. Btw Clean&Clean blotting papers also help a lot!
Foundations to try: Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse, Chanel Mat Lumiere
Powders: TheBalm Sexy Mama (translucent powder in a adorable pin-up girl packaging! You'll love it. TheBalm's products are also organic!)Or you can use MAC. MAC has wonderful pressed powders too!
I also recommend blotting papers. I use the lavender blotting sheets from Sephora, but any old blotter sheet should do! If I were you, I'd just use a matte foundation, and keep some powder and blotters in your make-up bag or purse. Also, a foundation primer may help. Smashbox photofinish primer is my favorite and it is also oil free. I'd pick up the little one in the tube from Sephora (the one I have with a pump gets plugged sometimes.) I believe the one in the tube is $16. But trust me, so worth it!
