Wildfox Couture

WILDFOX COUTURE is an American Vintage-inspired women’s knitwear brand. Combining great style and unsurpassed quality, Wildfox has quickly gained a following amongst celebrities, trendsetters and top retailers worldwide.

Childhood friends Emily Faulstich and Kimberley Gordon are the creative force behind Wildfox. Inspired by sleepovers, beautiful books, fairies, dreams, vintage t-shirts and their friendship, the young designers gave birth to a brand based on love and having fun! Things had gotten too serious in the world of fashion, and it was time for a change. They created their t-shirts for every person, soft, baggy, bright and fun.
Together with musician Jimmy Sommers as CEO and President of Wildfox the brand was officially established in Los Angeles in 2006. Today, the girls spend their time visiting vintage shops and working out of their Silverlake-area design studio - where they ew their hearts on their sleeves and spread peace and love through design.
The LA-made brand is available at better retail boutiques nationwide. Wildfox Couture is distributed in over 30 countries worldwide including the U.K., Germany, Japan, South Korea, Australia, Russia and Taiwan.

Originally popular with US celebrities Wildfox Couture has quickly established itself amongst UK celebs. The brand has been spotted on numerous British celebs including Cheryl Cole, Katie Price, The Saturdays and many more.

I love this brand as the clothes are lovely quality. I have purchased a few items from their collections and I've loved everything I have so far. I discovered Wildfox Couture whilst browsing through magazines and seeing their clothes on celebs. I didn't know where to buy from as www.wildfoxcouture.co.uk was only set up in 2010 and this was before then. I came across a wonderful website www.spoiledbrat.co.uk that stock the brand so I bought from there. They currently have many of the items for sale at the minute and there are always offers available.
I was so pleased with what I'd received that I'm a Wildfox Couture Customer forever. The items that i have are picture below.

Items can be purchased in the UK from stores such as Selfridges & Co, Harvey Nichols and Harrods. The best place to purchase is probably online as there is a wider range of the collection available.

Day 22

About-

Katie Price and Lamis Khamis have a strong love for fashion. With Katie Price being in the forefront of the media's attention and being one of the most photographed women in Britain, Katie is always changing her image and style.

Lamis Khamis already has her own successful clothing brand with fans worldwide and top celebrities included and worked with Katie from the very start of her modeling career so they both shared similar ideas for new clothes designs. Their friendship grew over the years and they both decided to share their love for fashion and work on a clothing brand together. They wanted to create a brand that is stylish, comfortable, edgy and of quality. Pieces you would want to wear forever.

Most importantly Katie and Lamis wanted a brand that is fresh all the time, with new pieces added monthly, being clothes or accessories... so they decided that on Day 22 of every month they will add new pieces to the collection. All the pieces will be of limited edition and never repeated identically... so 'Day 22' was born. (Taken from http://www.day22.co.uk/about)

The 1st glimpse of the range was at the Pure Spirit Fashion Catwalk Show at London's Earls Court on Sun 13th Feb. Katie took to the catwalk along with models wearing a few pieces from the range.

The official launch day to the public was on 22nd Feb with the 1st range consisting of 22 items. Katie and Lamis opened a pop up shop on Kingly St London for 2 days to sell the 1st collection.

I am in love with this brand. The fabric is beautiful and the designs are are works of art. I have bought 5 items from the collection so far and will definitely be buying more. Here are some of what i have already-

'Linda' Print Loose vest. At first i was undecided about this top. When it arrived it looked huge and I thought it wouldn't go with anything. I couldn't have been more wrong and this is actually my favourite purchase. The colour is beautiful and the 80's print is really striking. Being the lowest price in the 1st collection at £50 it definitely doesn't reflect in the quality. It's just as well made as everything else that I have bought.

'Hot Lips' draped T-Shirt. This was my 1st purchase and I was really struggling which item to get. I thought with summer approaching that pink would be an appropriate summer colour. What's great about this item and many others is that you can dress it up and down and it still looks fabulous.

'Born to Rule' Long sleeve dress. Katie was seen wearing this in her video clip for Comic Relief. I thought she looked great in it so I went ahead and ordered it. It's a great fit and very comfy I love this dress.

'Victorian' print short sleeved dress. I've only just received this so not had chance to wear it yet. Katie wore this to the launch as you can see on the pictures above. I love the print and as with the other items the fabric is beautiful. I read that the fabric has been specially made for the brand and also the labels are very soft which is great as you don't get that irritating scratching like on others.

'Have Fun' clown print t-shirt. At 1st I wasn't keen on this top as the clown kind of freaked me out and when i 1st saw it I thought I would never buy it. So why have I? Well the 1st person I saw it on was Katie running in L.A and I thought it actually looks really nice on. Then a girl I speak with on twitter sent me a picture of herself wearing it and that was it- sold!!! I've only just received it so I've not worn it yet but I love it so I am very happy with my purchase.

I would definitely recommend Day 22 to anyone I love the clothes and they'll be bringing out Sunglasses, Bags, accessories etc. You also get a free gold Day 22 bag with all purchases from their website. Some people have complained about the price but I personally think it's reasonable as it's a Premium brand. You pay for what you get- great quality!!! Items are limited so once they've sold out that's it.

As i'm a bit late on doing my blog the 2nd collection has been released already. Six new items were added on 22nd March.

Thanks for reading my blog.
