VIVO Per Lei - Dead Sea Minerals

The Dead Sea is famous for its health-giving, mineral-rich waters containing sulphur, iodine, magnesium, potassium, calcium, sodium and many others. People who care about there skin's health and longevity have relied on dead-sea based products for many years believing them to be superior in richness, smoothness and nutrition and ultimately the best basis for skin care products.
Above - VIVO Per Lei 'Facial Peeling'
Facial Peeling provides a powerful facial cleansing by removing a thin layer of dry cells to reveal ultra-smooth and youthful skin. This product is great for all skin types. I have really oily skin and it's great on my skin. It is rich in Vitamin C & E. I love putting this on in the bath after the hot water has opened up all my pores. Just rub in sweeping circular motion over dry skin to remove the build up of dirt and oil. My skin feels so soft and clean afterwards.

Above- VIVO Per Lei - shea body butter.
This unique combination of Dead Sea Minerals together with essential vitamins and Shea Butter immediately replenishes the skins hydration to its optimum level and leaves the skin relaxed, supple, silky soft and radiant all day. I just gently massage a sufficient amount of body butter into the skin until completely absorbed.

Above- VIVO Per Lei - Salt Scrub
A de-vine combination of salt & oil from the Dead Sea skin reviving. Apply as needed over the body. Gently scrub and wash with warm water. This is the best body scrub i've ever used it makes my skin feel so soft.

I bought this when i was in Las Vegas but you can order it online.

Truffle Shuffle Haul

Truffle shuffle is a website that was established in 2004. It mainly sold 80's themed clothing but over the years it's added other things from different years. I love the clothes on this site and have quite a collection. Whats great is that they are clothes that don't date so things i bought in 2005 i still wear. This site is also really popular with many celebrities. I'm really into 80s themed stuff and thats how i came across it. Here are some of the things i have bought over the last few years.

Disney couture items-

I love anything Disney and fell in love with these vests they are absolutely gorgeous on and quite a few celebrities have been pictured wearing them.

The Care Bears

I loved the Care bears growing up and i've not grown up - i still love them and these t-shirts are sooo cute and my hoody is so snuggly. My favourite is the 3rd one along this tee was sold out for ages but i finally managed to get it.

Disney couture pajamas

I was bought these as a gift for my birthday and I love them. They are so comfy and just look really cute. My fave PJs.

Saved By the Bell Bayside Tigers jumper

I mentioned this jumper in my september purchases post. I first saw this pictured on Mollie King from The Saturdays and searched the internet to find where it was from. I was pleased when i found it on truffle shuffle and was surprised that it wasn't as expensive as i was expecting it to be. Its so comfy and looks great on.

My Little Pony - Daddy I want A Pony hoody

I first saw this in 2009 when Katie Price was pictures wearing it. It was sold out for months but truffle shuffle emailed me when it was back in and i finally got it. Katie Price doesn't have the best fashion sense but she does have some pieces that I love. She sold the hoody she was pictured in on her ebay site Jordans Closet and it went for over £400 which is crazy considering it cost £35.

Flashdance Top

This was the first item i bought from truffle shuffle in 2005. I was going through an 80s obsession and just had to have everything 80s themed and this was my favourite item of clothing. I still love it and even though i've worn it loads its still in perfect condition.

I thought i'd share with you my love for this website as i've recommended it to some of my friends and they are now obsessed too. It has ladies, mens, kids and accessories there is something for everyone.

Thank you for reading my blog.

My love for Uggs

As it's coming up to the winter season Ugg boots are the perfect winter boot to keep your feet snuggly warm in this cold weather. I got my first pair for christmas 2006 and my addiction to Uggs began. These are all the pairs i have collected over the years....

Cardy Uggs - I have 3 pairs of the original cardy boots, black, gray and oatmeal, and I have the new style in cream also. The original have three buttons down the side and can be worn up or folded down - as they are in the picture. The new style are tall with a diamond shape affect in the fabric they are so cute.

Classic short- I have 5 pairs of the classic short - sand, chestnut and I also have rainbow colours pink, purple and baby blue.

Classic tall- I have 5 pairs of classic tall - black, brown, chestnut, gray and pink. I also have Sundance tall in cream and Ultimate tall in black. These are an adaption to the classic with different soles and different designs on them. The sundance have fur down the side and ultimate have a white pattern down the back. I wear the tall boots either up as they are in the picture or folded down which is really cute too.

These short brown boots aren't Ugg but Love from Australia boots. I got these 3 years ago from Wags Boutique in London and they are quite similar to the Ugg Bailey Button boots but with ribbons. I'm not sure if these boots are sold any more but they are really cute.

My Hair Products

Here's some of the products I use to help keep my hair in tip top condition....

These are my hairbrushes I use the most - excuse any hair.

From left to right :-
*Head Jog 'Heatwave' ceramic ionic brush no97 (52mm) - I use this brush for blow drying my hair the bristles are really good quality and what I find really great is the red strip in the middle turns yellow when you apply to much heat which really helps prevent damage. I bought this brush from a seller on ebay and they come in a range of sizes.
*Denman classic styling hair brush 7 rows- I use this brush for when i'm back combing as it does a really good job of getting my hair big which i love. I tried all kinds of combs and brushes but my hair just falls flat as its quite thick and heavy but this brush really works. I also ordered this brush from a seller off ebay but i think you can pick one of these up from just about any store that sells brushes as they've been around for years.
*H2D pink tourmaline ionic paddle hair brush- this is my favourite brush ever. I love paddle brushes but this one just glides through my hair with such ease. As I have curly hair it does tend to get quite tangled and i do straighten it a lot but since using this i've found it snaps a lot less. As with the others I also bought this from ebay - I'm on ebay a lot.
*Pink Tale Comb - This comb is great for sectioning my hair and when i want to style smaller sections of my hair. This comb came in a set of Katie Price hair straighteners i got as a gift but you can pick combs like this up from just about anywhere.

I am a bit of an 'Aussie hair' fan. It is quite expensive usually around £3.50 per item. I buy from superdrug as they do offers all the time usually 2 for £6.00 which is good if you buy a treatment because they are usually over £4.
I don't wash my hair everyday as i like to let the natural oils do their job and my hair tends to dry out if i was it a to often.
From left to right:-
*miracle moist shampoo
*miracle moist conditioner - i use both of these every time i wash my hair they smell gorgeous and make my hair feel really soft
*3 minute miracle treatment- i use this probably once every 2 weeks or if i do a lot of styling with my hair i will use it more often-especially after a night out as i tend to use loads- and i mean loads- of product and back comb a lot so it needs this the day after. Since using this my hair has improved loads. Definitely one of my favourite products.
*miracle moist insurance- this is a leave in conditioner. I use this every time i blow dry my hair. You don't need to use a lot just a few sprays and then brush it through. I can really tell the difference if i don't use it, my hair feels a lot softer and looks really shiny because i've got really thick hair it takes me a long time to dry my hair and all that heat dries my hair out even if i've used a treatment i can still tell a difference if i don't use aussie insurance.
*Dual personality shine + protection serum - I always use this and have for years so i'm not actually sure how my hair is without using it. I only need to use an amount the size of a 2p that i squeeze in the palm of my hand first -some times i use less than that otherwise my hair feels sticky. I then rub my hands together. I rub my fingers and my hands through my hair starting from half way down moving downwards. When i've used most of the product on the ends i fun my hands through the top and through my fringe. This really helps my fringe as i have a ca-flick in the middle and it helps to make the fringe a little bit heavier to hold down otherwise it flicks all over the place. I don't start at the top straight away as i've done this in the past and it makes the roots look really greasy.
I have tried many other products which i've found really good but 'Aussie' has really helped improve the condition. Another shampoo and conditioner i do really like is 'Herbal Essences' which makes my hair really shiny.

As i use a lot of heated products on my hair it's important for me to have a good heat protection spray. This one is by Trevor Sorbie and it's really good. I tend to change heat protector every time it runs out to a different brand but i think i might stick with this one as its been great for my hair. I spray it all round my hair from a distance not too much or too close as it will make my hair greasy. I do this before i blow dry or before i straighten/curl.

Other products i use are:-
L'oreal Ellnett hair spray - the superdrug near me recently sold Cheryl Cole special editions and they were on offer so i stocked up.
My hair is naturally brunette but i dye it a little bit darker. I've used different brands but always use darkest brown number 4. The last dye i used was a l'oreal one which had a bottle with a comb so it was easy to put on myself and the development time was 10 minutes which is so quick considering salon colouring tends to take 45minutes to an hour. However, my colour is quite simple and all over and i do tend to get natural highlights coming through. I would always recommend going to the salon first for advice on any kind of colouring especially if you are wanting to go lighter. A professional colour is always worth the money. If you don't know a good colourist always go off recommendations, if you ask the salon they will always tell you they are best when that isn't always the case - i know this from past experience.
The straighteners i use are Babyliss (230 i think) and i find these do a really good job. i had the original GHD's but i found that my hair would go wavy by the end of the day but with my Babyliss they stay straight all day. I have had these for 3 years and they are still going strong and i think they are now only £30. I'm not saying that GHD's aren't good straighteners but the pair i had just didn't work for me and it was about 5 years ago i got them so technology has changed.
The curlers I have are Mark Hill and they are really good. They are medium size and do really nice curls. However, i would love bigger curlers - i'm hoping i get some for christmas.
My hair dryer is a salon brand i'm not sure what it's called. My mum is a beauty therapist and is always at the wholesalers so they were really cheap and really good as this is what salons use.

If you have any hair products you would like to share or if you have any questions about anything please leave a comment.

Thanks for reading my blog.

September purchases

Here's a couple of items i've bought this month -
I ordered these boots from All Saints. I've not had chance to wear them yet but i absolutely love them as i can wear them casual or i can dress them up a bit. They have 2 colours available, 'Graphite' and 'Washed Black'. The ones i ordered are 'Washed Black' but they have a bit of a brown tint to them which i don't mind as I wear a lot of browns. The boots are called 'Avanta Boots' and can be found in the vintage section on www.allsaints.com. They were originally £160 but are now £70 which is a massive difference.

'Contrast pleated cami' from Topshop. I love this cami as it can be worn as a top or a dress. I bought it in hope of a night out but i think it will be New Years Eve before I get chance to wear it. It's only £38 and it is also available in the tall section and in other colours too.
'Wavy Detail Tunic' in black bought from Topshop. I wasn't sure on this when i ordered it from the website as it was only £16 so I though it might be cheap looking but it's quite good quality. I was worried it might be see through but it's not at all. Topshop do quite a few colours in this design so i might be ordering a few more and at £16 it's quite a bargain for a dress. I'm going to wear it with some costume jewellery or maybe a statement jacket as it is quite plain on its own but I guess if i wear it on night out with the girls i can pair it with some killer heels.

I love love love this jacket. I saw the Burberry aviator jacket in magazines and fell in love but unfortunately Burberry is way out of my price range. Since then i've been searching for an aviator jacket that looks really good quality as there are some horrible ones out there. I came across this one in an issue of Vogue and was surprised when it said it was from Topshop. It wasn't online and i still don't think they have put it on there but I was visiting a friend in London for the weekend and had chance to visit the Oxford St store. If any of you have been you know how huge it is and luckily has all stock in there which is where i found this jacket. It was £78 but well worth the money. Its lovely and warm and such good quality.

This 'Bayside Tigers' sweater is one of my favourite purchases ever. I think it was £30. It is very 80's and based on the cheerleader outfits from the TV show 'Saved by the Bell'. I first saw this on Mollie King from The Saturdays -she always has gorgeous clothes- and I had to search online for pictures of her wearing it but eventually found where it was from - www.truffleshuffle.com. It was on back order for ages but one of the girls who works there emailed me as soon as it was back in. i love this website as it always has some great designs on t-shirts and jumpers i will put up another post with my truffle shuffle purchases.
